Dyno Test of 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 Yields 711 HP

Single Hellion Turbo Mounted

Motiva Performance Engineering mounted a Hellion  turbo kit on our test Mustang GT 5.0 on April 14, 2011 and pulled 711 hp and 756 torque — a significant improvement on the Mustang’s stock 412 hp. But I’m not satisfied.

The Hellion turbo we’re testing on the Mustang is a super piece of equipment.  I’m making it better, using computer coding that I developed by “reverse-engineering” the code in the Mustang’s ECM. More on that later and how we’re working to get 1,000 hp out of a GT 5.0 equipped with a single turbo.

Hellion/Motiva Kit Outperforms Fuel System

The April 14 test that we videotaped was limited by the Mustang’s fuel injectors and fuel pump. Essentially, the Hellion/Motiva turbo outstripped the ability of the fuel pump and injectors to deliver fuel-air mixture to the turbo.

This is going to be a really fast car when the pump and injectors are upgraded. Check out the video below:
